OF NOBLE DESCENT AND ANCESTRY
The Manor was carefully restored during a seven year process, giving special attention to maintain the unique and original features of the interiors.
The story goes, that the original owner had harvest an entire olive forrest in Uruguay, and transported the wood by ship from Montevideo to Guayaquil through the incredibly dangerous Strait of Magellan. From there, by mule across the mountains to Quito. The wood was used in the windows of what today is the Boutique Hotel Cultura Manor, a very special retreat located in the center of the city, with its own pleasant personality and inspiring food that privileges the slow food process, in a historical mansion built in 1933 and winning that year´s Quito´s architectural prize.
The hotel has an amazing terrace and spa, a wonderful restaurant and bar, and a magnificent library with wood paneling where guests can enjoy glass of wine in hand a good book in front of the fireplace, comfortably relaxing on Chesterfield leather sofas.
Some of the suites have pristine views of our palm garden or to the Pichincha volcano, plus guests are offered 24-hour free WiFi, private parking, concierge and butler service. Various cultural activities are offered in this side of town, such as plays offered by the Patio de Comedias Theater.
Among the gastronomic experiences presented by our chef, the most outstanding ones are the special tasting dinners of four to seven plates, that includes Gin and Chocolate tasting.
Special events are planned in order to surprise guests for Christmas and New Year, and, as always, our recommendation is that you make your reservation in advance so you can enjoy these magical dates with your loved ones.
