A few steps from the Inca Trail
Exploring Ecuador by land is a unique and wonderful adventure, because our geography enables us to travel in a very short period of time through entirely diverse zones and microclimates.
This is the case of the spectacular Valley of the Province of Cañar, a wonderful location where, geographically isolated, is the Archaeological Complex of Ingapirca with a predominant view to all the accesses and mountain passages.
Just 300 meters from the Ruins of Ingapirca, the legendary Posada de Ingapirca is located. It is developed in an old hacienda that adjoins the legendary Camino del Inca, which reaches the city of Cusco and, of course, passes through the cities of Cuenca and Loja in Ecuador.
The 21 comfortable and spacious rooms that privilege views and cozy interior design were developed among the old gardens of the hacienda, and invite our minds to travel backwards into the past to earlier moments in history, when life happened at a slower and more peaceful pace. The gastronomic proposal of Posada de Ingapirca privileges regional food, and uses ingredients that are native to the area.
From this strategic location we can perform countless activities and enjoy subtle adventures that include art, photography and contemplation of nature that motivates us to dream and enjoy the environment, and end the day with long conversations in front of the generous fireplace. The more adventurous visitors can enjoy walks or horseback riding along the historic Inca Trail to Cuenca.
