For example, in Cuenca you can enjoy the pace of a city full of history and then, less than thirty minutes away, you can enter El Cajas National Park, a place to enjoy the pure essence of the Ecuadorean highlands.

Dos Chorreras Lodge welcomes all who wish to spend time in luxury at the foothills of the Andes mountain range. The renowned city of Cuenca is nearby, but far enough to revel in the deep silence and in the brightness of a starry sky.
The rooms can accommodate traveling groups, couples or singles. Our bridal suite with a fireplace is the perfect choice for an unforgettable honeymoon. If it´s a family outing or a group of friends, the cabin with fireplace and jacuzzi is an experience that´s hard to beat. So, there are various room options, but all of them provide the comforts that a first class resort requires in order to fulfill the expectations of demanding guests.
The lodge has two restaurants with exquisite cuisine. One of them, Dos Chorreras, open over twenty years, attracts both locals and tourists and can seat 180 patrons. It´s recognized for its rustic kitchen and outstanding customer service. Among its most popular dishes is its standard bearer, the traditional fried trout with yucca (cassava) and steamed vegetables. The same way a traveler to Cuenca must visit El Cajas National Park, a guest at the Dos Chorreras Lodge cannot miss tasting its famous trout.
During the lodge´s most recent expansion, the La Fuente restaurant was built. Its aim was to create a new cooking experience, called “Live Cooking”. From 5 to 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and from 12 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, guests can learn and taste delightful concoctions, talk to the chefs and appreciate rustic style food prepared in tiestos, those typical clay pots that are so common in the culture of Cuenca.

HORSEBACK RIDES
The horseback rides follow the old García Moreno trail, along the only known stretch that remains in its original state from the time it was the first road connecting the highlands with the coast. Depending on the length of the ride, visitors can see an indigenous village, climb to an overlook above the Condor´s Cave and pass by several small waterfalls.
HIKING
Hike along routes dotted with waterfalls, rivers, mountains and trails. Perfect for nature lovers and birdwatchers.
BIKING
Biking along the paths within the lodge grounds is an adventure by itself, as is also to bike on the original García Moreno trail, surrounded by the beauty of the El Cajas National Park.
CANOEING
Groups of up to four persons per canoe can enjoy beautiful and relaxing trips along the gentle waters of the lodge´s canal.
VISIT TO GUADIVULA VILLAGE
Culture lovers can take a tour of the Guadivula village / museum, an authentic indigenous village dating back to 1900. Here, visitors can observe how people lived at that time, their homes and customs, as well as the enchanted mine from which they extracted gold.
FISHING
Guests can fish at certain places outside the lodge, surrounded by mountains.

Dos Chorreras Lodge is an ideal destination for events or seminars. Its renovated convention center can seat 350 persons and park 200 cars.
