La sede de la Unión de Naciones Suramericanas (UNASUR) se ubica en el Complejo Ciudad Mitad del Mundo, a 14 km al norte de la capital. El edificio, reconocido por su diseño arquitectónico, cuenta con 20.000m2 de construcción y 17.000m2 de exteriores. Ahí funcionan los organismos de la entidad y sus 12 consejos. Su autor: Arq. Headquarters of the Union of South American Nations (USAN) was recently inaugurated, located 14km. north of Quito. The building is praised for its architectural design, whose author is the Ecuadorian Architect Diego Guayasamín, and comprises 20,000m2 of intramurals and 17,000m2 of grounds. The agencies of this entity, along with its councils operate from here.
